Name: Minority Association of Pre-medical Students (MAPS)
Description: The Georgia Tech chapter of the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) was founded by 7 undergraduate students in Spring 2013 with a mission to promote the success and excellence of students in pursuit of a medical career with an emphasis on increasing diversity in healthcare. MAPS gives members the chance to speak with medical schools, medical students, recruiters, and practicing physicians. There is also a focus on discovering ways to serve the needs and interests of MAPS members by connecting them with opportunities for internships, research, study abroad, and community service. In addition to making academic resources readily available, MAPS core and utmost important goals are providing members with the guidance, direction, and support they need to ensure that their future aspirations become their biography.
